Leaked specifications for Samsung's planned Android XR smart glasses detail a Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chip, nine hours of battery life, and a 41-gram frame. Gentle Monster and Warby Parker reportedly designed multiple styles, though release timing and regional availability remain unconfirmed.
Leaked hardware specifications and design details have surfaced for the upcoming Samsung Android XR smart glasses, pointing to an unconfirmed release window as early as November. Samsung first introduced the wearable concept in July, when testers briefly handled prototype units. While the device has not officially hit store shelves, leaked materials published by SammyGuru reveal production-ready frames developed by Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. The leak also provides the first comprehensive look at the internal components, battery expectations, and software integrations planned for the platform.

The smart glasses run Android XR on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Power comes from an internal battery rated for up to nine hours of continuous operation, which increases to 72 hours when using the companion charging case. In terms of physical build, the glasses weigh approximately 41 grams with standard lenses installed, though final weight may shift slightly depending on the specific frame geometry. The eyewear carries an IPX4 water resistance rating to withstand light splashes and rain, although this moisture protection does not extend to the charging case.
Onboard interaction relies on visual capture and voice processing. A front-facing 12MP camera records 3K video at 30 frames per second, complemented by four integrated microphones and two open-ear speakers. Google’s Gemini AI drives multimodal functionality, interpreting spoken requests alongside live photos. Supported tasks include reading incoming text messages aloud, translating foreign languages in real time, and capturing whiteboard notes directly into the Notes application. The glasses connect with both iPhones and standard Android handsets, though Samsung may reserve certain capabilities for Galaxy smartphones. Software features will also vary by region, such as integrating Naver Maps for users in South Korea.

Gentle Monster created six frame profiles spanning sixteen distinct color and lens combinations. The leaked catalog includes the following configurations:
Warby Parker introduced three frame models named Alden, Reid, and Wren, totaling ten versions. Each of the three styles can be paired with either clear or dark lenses. The Wren frame comes exclusively in Jet Black, while Alden and Reid provide two palette options: Pine, which is dark green, and Saddle, described as dark red.
Retail availability appears divided along regional lines. Gentle Monster styles are expected to sell in both South Korea and the United States. Warby Parker frames, however, may remain exclusive to the United States during the initial rollout phase. The leak contains no details regarding launches across other countries. Once officially released, customers will be able to purchase the smart glasses directly through Samsung Experience Stores, as well as the physical boutiques and websites operated by Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.
