As the next Pixel hardware launch draws closer, the Pixel Watch 5 has begun surfacing in FCC listings — though the details raise more questions than they answer.
This isn’t the first time the watch has appeared publicly. The Pixel Watch 5 was previously spotted in what can only be described as genuinely unexpected circumstances. The latest leaks, however, are regulatory rather than physical, and suggest Google is moving closer to an official announcement.

Spotted by Droid Life, the Pixel Watch 5 has completed its standard FCC registration process, with the relevant specifications now posted on the committee’s website for carrier review.
The listings themselves don’t reveal much at first glance. Each device is classified as a “wireless device,” which is entirely standard for Google’s wearables. What stands out, however, is something that isn’t there: a Wi-Fi-only model.
Four models are registered – G25QD, G1XJ6, G0F3Y, and GFW3R – and all four are listed with both Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity.
That’s unusual. Pixel Watch lineups have typically included a Wi-Fi-only variant that comes in at a lower price point and lacks cellular network access. If these four models represent the complete Pixel Watch 5 lineup, it would suggest Google is dropping the more affordable option entirely.
It’s also possible the listings contain errors or are missing critical details. If all four models truly carry both Wi-Fi and LTE, having two pairs of essentially identical watches wouldn’t make much sense from a product strategy standpoint. A more logical interpretation is that Google might be preparing a second distinct model —- something along the lines of a “Pro” variant – offered in two size options. That would mirror what Samsung has done with the Galaxy Watch Ultra, carving out a premium tier within the same lineup.
Neither reading is confirmed, and the FCC page doesn’t resolve the ambiguity.
FCC documentation of this kind typically surfaces close to a product’s launch window. If Google follows the same release pattern as last year, an announcement for the new Pixel Watch series could come as early as August.
