Pixel 11 Price Increase Confirmed Ahead of August 12 Launch

Google is set to unveil the Pixel 11 family on August 12, and just ahead of that event, the company’s VP of Devices and Services, Shakil Barkat, has confirmed what many were expecting: prices are going up across the lineup.

Google Confirms Pixel Price Adjustments

Barkat explained that, like other consumer tech companies, Google is facing an unprecedented surge in component costs, saying there’s never been a memory price increase quite like the current one. According to the executive, Google has “shielded” its customers from “supply fluctuations for as long as possible,” but the “economics have fundamentally shifted.”

As a result, the entire Pixel lineup will see “price adjustments” that will reportedly “be rolled out dynamically to match supply realities.” That includes the upcoming Pixel 11 series, but also existing devices like the Pixel 10a. Barkat didn’t specify exactly how much more expensive the phones will get, though he confirmed that Google will continue offering promotions and trade-in deals to help offset the increase.

What Leaks Suggest About Pixel 11 Pricing

Recent leaks indicate the Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold will each cost $100 more than their predecessors. The standard Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro are said to be dropping their 128GB storage tier entirely, effectively raising their base price by $100 as well, though the 256GB configuration is expected to stay at the same price as last year when compared directly.

Adding to the changes, the Pixel 11 Pro is rumored to ship with just 12GB of RAM, down from 16GB in its predecessor. If accurate, that would mark another way for Google to help manage rising costs without pushing prices even higher.
