A new Motorola wide foldable smartphone has appeared on Geekbench, indicating that the manufacturer is developing a broader folding device ahead of a possible 2026 debut. The benchmark record follows earlier leaks that circulated online, which included design sketches and mockups alongside early technical specifications. While Motorola previously centered its foldable portfolio on compact flip devices, this benchmark test shows active progress on a wider handset intended to expand the company’s product range.
The prototype surfaced in the Geekbench database under the name Motorola razr flex 27. That entry corresponds with earlier reports showing that engineers used razr flex as an internal identifier during development. The addition of 27 matches regional naming conventions Motorola frequently uses for its North American portfolio. Even so, the benchmark title does not establish the final retail branding. The label could simply be an engineering placeholder, with commercial marketing potentially settling on Razr Flex 2027 or Razr Flex (2027) once the hardware nears release.

The Geekbench listing provides concrete confirmation for several internal components. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor powers the phone, accompanied by 12GB of RAM. In Geekbench 6 testing, the device produced a single-core score of 2,669 points and a multi-core score of 8,837 points. Those benchmark figures align with standard performance parameters expected from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform. The listing also confirms that the phone ran Android 17 during evaluation, verifying that Motorola intends to ship the foldable with that operating system version out of the box.

Earlier technical leaks outline the physical display specifications and power hardware. The inner folding screen reportedly measures 6.92 inches, supplemented by a 4.97-inch cover display on the exterior. Buyers can expect 256GB of onboard storage. Battery capacity stands at 5,000mAh, supported by USB-PD wired charging alongside 25W wireless charging capabilities.
For physical protection, the device includes IP48 and IP49 water and dust resistance ratings. Exterior styling options comprise two Pantone finishes: PANTONE Dark Botanical Garden and PANTONE Coriander. While launch plans remain subject to change and nothing is finalized, reports anticipate an official release before the end of the year, placing the wide foldable among Motorola’s flagship mobile offerings for 2026.
