Honor X70 Pro Max Launches Quietly with Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, 8560mAh Battery, and IP69K Rating

The Honor X70 Pro Max has arrived without any formal launch event, slipping onto the market with a focus on durability, battery endurance, and a capable Qualcomm chipset.
The phone comes in four color options: Phantom Purple, Sunburst Gold, Bamboo Rhythm Green, and Phantom Night Black. It measures 161.9 x 76.1 x 7.76mm and weighs 196 grams — notably lean for a device packing an 8560mAh cell.

Display and Performance
The Honor X70 Pro Max features a 6.79-inch AMOLED panel with a 2640 x 1200 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits. The display covers the DCI-P3 wide color gamut, supports 1.07 billion colors, 3,840Hz ultra-high-frequency PWM dimming, and 10-point multi-touch.
Under the hood is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 octa-core chipset, configured with one large A720 core at 2.3GHz, three A720 medium cores at 2.2GHz, and four A520 efficiency cores at 1.8GHz, paired with an Adreno 810 GPU.
Durability
Durability is a clear priority here. The X70 Pro Max carries certification for 10-sided hardcore drop resistance, achieved through Honor’s self-developed bulletproof vest anti-drop structure. It also holds IP69K, IP68, and IP66 ratings — covering high-pressure water jets, submersion, and dust ingress simultaneously.

Software, Camera, and Battery
The device runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Camera hardware is straightforward: a single 50MP rear shooter with 10x digital zoom and an 8MP front-facing camera. The photo feature set, however, goes beyond the hardware — AI tools include AI Eliminate, AI Image Cutout Displacement, AI Face Expressions, AI anti-reflective correction, AI stylization, and more.
The 8560mAh Qinghai Lake battery supports 90W SuperCharge. Honor claims the following real-world endurance figures from a full charge: 15 hours of video calling, 14 hours of continuous gaming, and 27 hours of short video playback.
On the connectivity side, Honor has implemented Hongyan Communication technology, which the company says improves performance on weak network signals by 93.2%.
Price
The Honor X70 Pro Max is available in two storage configurations, both with 8GB RAM. The 256GB variant is priced at 1,999 yuan, while the 512GB model costs 2,399 yuan.
