Samsung updated its Members app banner, signaling possible One UI 9.5 beta preparations that could lead to a December release for Galaxy S26 phones.

Samsung has updated the One UI Beta Program banner inside the Samsung Members application, signaling initial preparations for an upcoming public beta. SamMobile reported the visual change in the central portal Galaxy owners use to register for beta updates. The revised graphic hints at activity behind the scenes without explicitly naming the One UI 9.5 beta or confirming that registration is about to open.
The timing is notable because Samsung only recently finished its previous testing cycle. Barely a month after stable One UI 9 began rolling out to the Galaxy S26 series, hints about the next major software release are already surfacing. Internal testing for One UI 9.5 is currently underway at Samsung, though everyday Galaxy owners do not yet have an opportunity to try the software themselves.

Earlier leaks have pointed to several potential additions that could appear in One UI 9.5, although these features remain unconfirmed by Samsung. Rumored additions include customizable widgets for home screen personalization, along with native app locking to restrict access to sensitive applications. Samsung could also introduce App Mirroring to enable tighter integration with Galaxy Books, as well as Google’s Satellite Connectivity Hub. None of these leaked capabilities have received official confirmation, leaving their final availability uncertain.

Past release schedules provide a plausible timeline for the beta program, although Samsung has not announced an official launch date. During the preceding cycle, Samsung launched its first One UI 8.5 beta on December 8, 2025. That release arrived roughly three months after the stable One UI 8 rollout began. If Samsung adheres to a comparable schedule this year, the One UI 9.5 beta could open sometime in December, potentially starting with the Galaxy S26 series.
That release window remains speculation for now. Samsung has not announced a launch date, nor has the company shared details regarding eligible devices or participating regional markets. Even so, internal testing for One UI 9.5 is already underway. The refreshed banner in the Samsung Members app gives Galaxy owners another practical reason to watch for an official announcement.
