Ahead of the Magic 9 series debut, Honor has introduced a new budget-friendly smartphone with an 11000mAh battery, named the Honor X9e Pro. The company introduced the device in Malaysia, where pre-orders are currently open, and plans to expand availability to additional regions soon. Pricing in Malaysia starts at 1899 MYR for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the 512GB storage variant costs 2399 MYR.
The Honor X9e Pro joins the company’s budget-friendly phone lineup with a dynamic circular camera module on the back that is very similar to the X80 Pro Max. It has a leather finish on the back for a comfortable grip. Four color finishes are available: Royal Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold, and Midnight Black. Honor has not officially shared the complete specifications yet, but product details show a 6.8-inch LTPS AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 10000-nits peak brightness for HDR video playback. The smartphone runs Android 16-based MagicOS 10, uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip, and carries an IP69K rating.
For the cameras, the device houses a 108MP 1/1.67-inch primary shooter and a 5MP ultrawide-angle shooter on the rear, while the front face has a 16MP selfie lens. Powering the smartphone is a silicon-carbon anode tech battery with an 11000mAh capacity. Honor claims the battery offers over 164 hours of music playback, 35 hours of short video playback, and 66 hours of regular video playback. The phone supports 80W wired charging as well as 27W reverse wired charging to supply power to other devices.
