OnePlus has opened reservations for the OnePlus 16 in China, revealing the phone’s design, color options, and memory configurations ahead of its official launch. The device succeeds last year’s OnePlus 15, which OnePlus introduced in October 2025 as its flagship.
Visually, the OnePlus 16 looks similar to its predecessor, with a square rear camera module in the upper-left corner housing three cameras and an LED flash. It comes in three colorways: “Tomorrow’s Starlight,” “Dark Forest,” and “Mars Masterpiece.” The “Tomorrow’s Starlight” option has a light-colored finish and uses what OnePlus calls a “silk glass” process meant to resist fingerprints.
OnePlus has listed the phone in four memory configurations: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. The company hasn’t shared an official release date yet, and availability outside China remains unlikely, since OnePlus has ended new product rollouts in Europe and North America. A leak also suggests the OnePlus 16 may skip India entirely.
What’s been leaked about the OnePlus 16 so far
Earlier leaks point to the OnePlus 16 running Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chipset, expected to be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, reportedly built on a 2nm process and supporting the LPDDR6 memory standard. The phone is also expected to pack a substantially larger 9,000mAh battery, up from the 7,300mAh battery in the OnePlus 15, and is rumored to sport a 200MP primary camera built around a 1/1.4-inch sensor.
