Motorola Signature 27 specs confirm a 12,000-nit tandem OLED screen and Snapdragon chip before the November 5 launch, while pricing could reach $1,800.

Official Motorola Signature 27 specs have surfaced ahead of the phone’s global launch scheduled for November 5, 2026. While official retail pricing remains unannounced until that event, recent leaks point to a price tag as high as $1,800 for the 512GB edition. Motorola shared these early details through an exclusive partnership with YouTuber Danny Winget, who published a hands-on preview showing the hardware and design. The company is preparing a return to full flagship competition after years of remaining on the periphery.
In the preview video, Winget examined the physical build of the device. The chassis uses aircraft-grade aluminum paired with ceramic elements, giving the exterior a sturdy texture. Motorola produced two color finishes for the handset, with both options carrying official Pantone certification. The hardware choices position the device directly against rival flagships from Google and Samsung.

The central highlight of the Signature 27 is its 6.8-inch display, marketed under the name Extreme AMOLED Duo. Motorola claims the panel reaches a peak brightness rating of 12,000 nits. That figure substantially exceeds current high-end competitors. For context, Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra reaches 2,600 nits, while Google’s Pixel 11 Pro XL tops out at 3,600 nits in peak per-pixel measurements.
To achieve this output, Motorola implemented tandem OLED architecture. The design stacks two separate layers of organic LEDs on top of each other. This dual-layer structure delivers higher luminance while improving power efficiency. Apple adopted similar tandem OLED panels for the latest iPad Pro and the recently launched MacBook Pro featuring a PROLED XDR touch screen. Winget also confirmed that the Signature 27 display operates at a 120Hz refresh rate.

The hands-on preview details a quad-camera arrangement on the rear. Photography centers on a 50MP Sony LYT-910 primary camera equipped with LOFIC support. For distant subjects, the device includes a 200MP telephoto sensor capable of reaching up to 100x zoom. Motorola pairs those lenses with a 50MP ultrawide-angle camera to cover broad scenes.
A fourth element in the rear camera array is what Motorola designates an Action sensor, intended specifically to photograph fast-moving subjects. While Winget’s video does not explain the underlying hardware engineering, it demonstrates practical image samples. One test sequence displays photographs of a spinning top. The camera froze the motion clearly, rendering the surface pattern of the toy without noticeable blur despite its rapid rotation.
Under the hood, the Signature 27 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, the chipmaker’s newest and most capable silicon. Motorola pairs that processing hardware with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. To maintain sustained speeds under intense computing loads, the internal cooling assembly includes a vapor chamber that has been expanded by 40% for more efficient heat dissipation.
On the software side, the handset launches running Android 17, and Motorola promises seven years of software updates for the device. Audio playback relies on dual speakers tuned by audio specialist Bang & Olufsen. Several technical details remain undisclosed until the official launch presentation on November 5, including total battery capacity, charging speed, and other storage configurations. Retail pricing is also reserved for the announcement, though recent leaks suggest the 512GB version could carry a price tag as high as $1,800.
