Google has released Android 17 QPR3 Beta 1 to every still-supported Pixel device, from the Pixel 6a through the new Pixel 11 series, and the rollout arrived earlier than expected this afternoon. The update looks sizable, carrying fixes for at least 20 bugs that had carried over from QPR2.

The beta ships as build DP11.260918.005 for the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and as build DP11.260918.006 for every other supported Pixel device. It went live on October 2, 2026, carries the August 5, 2026 security patch level, ships Google Play services version 26.32.34, and supports both x86 (64-bit) and ARM (v8-A) emulators.
For anyone tracking the release calendar, Android 17 QPR3 is expected to go stable in early 2027. Before that, the next major milestone should be the Android 17 QPR2 Beta, currently on its sixth build, expected to land around December. That means anyone installing QPR3 Beta 1 right now is testing very early software that could still pick up new features later in the beta cycle.
The update addresses the following issues:
The easiest way to get Android 17 QPR3 Beta 1 is by signing up for the Android Beta Program, which pushes the update automatically to eligible devices. Anyone who prefers flashing manually can grab the OTA images directly instead.
According to the report, the update is already live, and installing it on a Pixel 11 Pro coming from the QPR2 betas resulted in a 597MB download.
