The Xiaomi October update is rolling out to 15 devices across the company’s Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO brands. This October 2026 security patch aims to guard users against security threats and resolve vulnerabilities that could place personal data at risk. The deployment spans flagship smartphones, mid-range handsets, and the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro tablet.
According to a report, most eligible devices are receiving the software in China, while select models have started getting the patch in the European Economic Area (EEA). Xiaomi is expected to expand availability to additional international markets, including India, in the coming weeks.

The software package incorporates 25 vulnerability fixes supplied by Google. Seven of these address critical security issues, while the remaining 18 target high-level vulnerabilities. The update concentrates on strengthening device security, without introducing visual adjustments or new user-facing features.

According to the report, most of the listed devices run HyperOS 4. The POCO M7 Plus, POCO M8s, and Redmi 15 receive the security patch on HyperOS 3.

Device owners can check for the software manually by following these steps:
Update availability depends on the specific device model and region, meaning the rollout will not arrive on every eligible device simultaneously. Users in India may need to wait until Xiaomi starts distributing the patch in that market. Checking system settings periodically allows device owners to download the security build as soon as it becomes available.
