Samsung has started internal testing for One UI 9.5 across several Galaxy devices, including the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy A57, and Galaxy A17. October test builds have already surfaced for the S26 lineup and both next-generation foldables.

Recent leaks point to four major developments in One UI 9.5, including a new way to create custom widgets, a dedicated Satellite SOS Hub, and revised USB debugging options. At the same time, power users continue pressing the mobile software team to deliver smoother animations in forthcoming interface releases.
Alongside these early builds, Samsung is distributing a One UI 9 beta update for Galaxy A16 5G users enrolled in the test program in India. The rollout aims to improve general stability, camera performance, and security, though it may take time before reaching all registered devices. Eligible users can install the build by navigating to Settings, opening Software update, and selecting Download and install.

According to the release notes, the beta patch adds stabilization code to improve overall device performance and resolves an installation error triggered by forced reboots during software updates. The release also fixes display errors on the Watch Now Bar, resolves a bug preventing proper transitions to the charging screen, and corrects inaccurate altimeter readings.
